Architecture BDEA-E2016 Kinetics Student Project
 

BWAVE is a kinetic architectural model that challenges static and undynamic architecture.
The basic concept is to empower the speed of the crossers of the bridge by creating a dynamic bridge which in effect will cause the user to always be walking downhill.

BWAVE is a kinetic architectural concept, of which a model was developed for in the course Digital Experience and Aesthetics over 4 weeks.
The physical model consists of a piece of fabric together with cardboard and mechanical elements from a 3D printer. Technically the model is powered by two stepper motors, which are controlled by an Arduino connected externally.
The fabric on the surface showcases the wave motion which are speed empowering concept, and aesthetically pleasing aspect, of the bridge.
